Need For Speed 2013

It looks like EA is ready to announce the next installment of the Need For Speed series. After last year’s Most Wanted reboot by Criterion it seems the new EA studio Ghost will be responsible for the game this year. Ghost is a team that split of from Dice and is now working from Gothenborg in Sweden.

EA has been teasing us with two screenshots prior to the official announcement. And it seems to be along the lines of another Hot Pursuit again.
And with lines like “Have no rules, show no mercy.” and “The Rivalry Begins.” it seems we are in for some proper action.

One thing worth mentioning is the car in the screenshot below. It has been over a decade since we have seen Ferrari’s in a Need For Speed title. Great to see them back in the game.

Lack of Updates – Apologies

I wish to convey my apologies with the lack of news and updates within the last month. Work has been extensively busy. I’ve been working behind the scenes to at least keep our Facebook page up to date as much as possible. The moment new news and information is posted, I try to relay it onto the Facebook page as soon as possible. It may be quick and dirty but while I’m at work 30 seconds isn’t a major sacrifice.

I will continue to make a conscientious effort to keep the site active and informative as much as possible.

ND4SPDWorld server issues

As you might have noticed we had experienced some downtime due to a database crash.
Sadly the database crash has ruined our database and all we had was this december backup.
So all news posted after December 21st has now disappeared.

We will however continue to post information about Need For Speed Most Wanted by Criterion when news is released.

Bare with us as we try and solve the problem with the Forum.

NFS The Run: Title Update 1.3 Release Notes

Title update 1.3 for Need for Speed The Run is out now on PlayStation 3, and will be out shortly for XBOX 360. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the game, we appreciate all your comments and the devs have worked hard on this update, taking many into consideration.

The update will be available at different times around the globe, so please be patient if it’s not available for you right now.

Here is a short list of the updates:

Improvements to reset behavior in Single Player:
When players go off track, they will be reset back onto the track (similar to the reset behavior in online multiplayer races) instead of at the last checkpoint. Crashes will still result in a reset to the last checkpoint.
We’ve modified the reset behavior for a number of tracks in The Run where resets seemed too close to the main race route. This should reduce some frustration for players where they’ve suddenly been reset by just barely going off course.
Multiplayer – reduce the severity of racer to racer collisions in multiplayer races and jarring reactions by the game camera.
Multiplayer – Fix to address a connectivity issues sometimes seen when attempting to join multiplayer sessions on PS3
Multiplayer – Fix for load and connectivity issues being experienced on PS3.
Autolog – fix an issue where the Autolog friends list would sometimes appear empty and Speedwalls would display ‘Your Friend’ instead of the proper friends name.
We’ll let you know as soon as the patch is released on Xbox 360. As for PC, we do have a patch in the works but no ETA on when it will be released.

NFS The Run: Lexus LFA

With the Lexus LFA being the next supercar to battle in the world of 200mph automobiles. The 4.8L V10 engine and lightweight carbon fibre frame to minimize weight helps to push this Lexus over the 200mph barrier. The engine can go from idle to redline in 0.6 seconds, forcing Lexus engineers to use a digital display because the needle wasn’t fast enough. In Need for Speed The Run, hear what is described as “the roar of an angel” as the Lexus LFA battles it out with the fastest supercars in the world.
